Abi is interested in evolution, genetics, behavioral neuroscience and ecology. After working in the Trible Lab during the summer of 2021 she was excited to return as a Post-Baccalaureate Fellow and continue work on the clonal raider ants and QLMs. She graduated from Brandeis University in May 2023 with a BS in Biology and Neuroscience and a minor in Studio Art. At Brandeis, Abi completed a Senior thesis in the Marder Lab, focused on characterizing varied expression of ion channels in the C. borealis (crab) stomatogastric nervous system. She also spent a summer working in the field with solitary potter wasps and is eager to learn more about the evolution of social structures in Hymenoptera.
